Pokemon Go Traumatized Me 💀...

Pokemon Go Traumatized Me 💀...
May 13, 2026

This is a short story that actually happened to me for real hahaha.

OMG, it’s difficult to think about it again.

I’m changing my lifestyle and my routines because of different things happening in my life. I’m trying to become a better version of myself, and also because of some health problems I have. I’m 1.80m tall and I weigh 98kg, so yeah, I’m considered an obese person, and I’m changing that.

Because of my health problems, like fatty liver, I have to exercise, and a few months ago the doctors recommended me to take a daily walk. I was doing it, but I didn’t take it too seriously.

At this moment in my life, that changed, and now I try to go walking every day and walk like 10 thousand steps, which is around 7km according to my Galaxy Watch, sooo.....

2 days ago, I was doing my walking routine. I usually take that walking session at around 17:00pm because when I arrive from work, I eat and then I go walking to digest better.

So in that session, I was playing Pokemon Go hahaha, one of the main protagonists of this story. I was catching a lot of Pokemon in the park and doing gym battles. In this period of my life, I play more often than I normally do because I just bought a Nintendo Switch 2 with Pokémon Z-A. Yeah, I’m a huge fan of Pokemon since Pokemon Ranger, which was my first Pokemon game hahaha. I chose that game instead of HeartGold, but a few months later my parents bought it for me (thanks💚)

In Pokemon Home, I’m making the living Pokedex, which means getting every Pokemon with their variants and all that. And in Pokemon Go, I have a lot of Legendaries and Shinies that I’ve gathered since the launch of the game.

I was too concentrated taking over a gym. Literally, there was only a Gyarados and a ugly brown pig Pokemon hahaha. I’m a fake fan... I knooow, but it was like a brown pig that someone put there because a few days ago it was that Pokemon’s Community Day, and someone put his shiny brown ugly pig. Well, it was green because it was shiny... or pink... I don’t know hahaha, and I refuse to search for that Pokemon.

However, I was battling, I was walking in circles around the roundabout of the park, and at some point, I felt that I stepped on something with my shoe, but I was like an addict playing hahaha, so I kept walking. Here in Mexico, it’s normal to see trees with little fruits and step on them because they are everywhere, so it felt like a similar sensation... but it wasn’t...

At the start, it was a little bit hard and then it exploded. Normally, the fruits are soft and explode without any resistance. When I finished that gym fight and put my Pokemon there, I was still thinking about that feeling, and it felt like grease. It was so disgusting. I was trying to think, probably it was a fruit... or maybe it wasn’t...

I was thinking about the worst, that I stepped on a mouse or something and didn’t notice it. I love animals, so when I see a dead animal on the road or the street, I feel like I’m going to throw up because I love them. In elementary school and high school, I was seriously considering becoming a marine biologist thanks to the Winter the Dolphin movie, so I was trying to think that it was a fruit...

At first, I refused to walk in that zone where I stepped on that thing, but I gathered the courage because it would be worse if I never knew what it was... OMG.

I confirmed the worst....

I STEPPED ON THE HEAD OF A DEAD MOUSE 💀. It was like seeing a horror scene in real life. I was horrified, and I couldn’t keep playing Pokémon Go anymore. I felt so bad and disgusted, and the worst part is that I could still feel that sensation in my shoe. I tried to clean it on the grass, but the feeling stayed with me for another 40-minute walk. I have never experienced anything like that in my life, and I hope this was the last time. Even stepping on a cockroach grosses me out, so imagine stepping on a mouse.... or well, following the logic of Scary Movie 3, when they are outside it’s a rat, and when they are inside it’s a mouse hahaha.

Of course, now I still keep playing. My addiction to Pokemon is stronger than any drug 🤣 but yeah, I still didn’t return to that park... and the worst part is that I went to that place to change my routine and stop going to the same place to walk. It was an unforgettable first-time experience in that park hahaha. I will return... eventually, I hope so, because it is more beautiful than the other one I go to.

Has anyone experienced something similar? If you have a story to tell, please don’t be shy and share similar stories too. I hope yours wasn’t more horrifying than this thing that happened to me 💀
